The
situation in the Indian-occupied part of Jammu and Kashmir has been
in the forefront of world news since August 5, 2019. The event marked
India's unilateral decision to revoke the special status of the state
and to divide it into two union territories. Many have criticized
India's decision as a plan under the leadership of the United States
between both countries, Pakistan and India, for the complete division
of the state Jammu Kashmir. However, these concerns have not received
much attention among the people of the Jammu Kashmir who have been
living under the occupiers' nets for the past 75 years.
In the wake of these events, various freedom-loving groups have
emerged to fight for the identity of the state. Unfortunately, these
groups have failed to understand the plan of the usurpers and have
been unable to come together on a common platform to fight for the
state's identity.
The Pakistani establishment has also faced several challenges
since the division plan was implemented. Fear among the majority of
people living in the foreign country's part of the state on the
diplomatic front, the deteriorating economic situation of Pakistan,
intense political unrest inside Pakistan, and especially the fear of
terrorism from the Poonch division of Pakistan-occupied Jammu Kashmir
(POJK), these are some of the challenges that the establishment has
had to overcome.
To overcome these challenges, the Pakistani establis;hment has had
to remain neutral from Pakistani politics and focus its attention on
controlling the POJK. This has involved establishing army public
schools throughout the Kashmir after erasing its identity to avoid
any possible backlash. The establishment has also created new
facilitators within the Kashmir to prevent any potential reaction
from the people of the Kashmir.
Furthermore, the Pakistani establishment has conducted awareness
campaigns among the employees of all institutions in Kashmir to
promote their loyalty to the Pakistani establishment. They have also
forcefully occupied the tourist places of Kashmir for internal
defense and generated hatred against freedom fighters in the hearts
of Kashmir citizens.
In addition, the establishment has instilled fear of Indian
aggression in the hearts of Kashmiri citizens and made sure they
displayed Pakistani identity in their ID cards, while concealing the
identity of Kashmir in the census 2023. The most important and
dangerous part was to implement the decisions of Pakistani courts in
the Pakistan occupied Kashmir.
The intervention of the Pakistani army in civil matters has
increased to such an extent that army personnel are now daily invited
as special guests at public ceremonies, attend iftar parties in
people's homes in various villages, and summon their facilitators
from different villages to their camps, telling them that they have
already made plans to keep them safe on a permanent basis from Indian
attacks and they need their cooperation.
It is necessary for all freedom-loving groups to adopt a common strategy and come together on one platform to fight for the state's identity. If this does not happen, there may not even be an opportunity to shout the slogan of freedom in Pakistan occupied Jammu Kashmir. The situation in Jammu and Kashmir is a matter of great concern, and it is essential that the international community pays attention to the plight of the people of the state and works towards a peaceful resolution of the conflict.
